Cass's Story

Meet Cass (Short for Casper)

She's the friendliest little ghost puppy you'll ever meet!

Cass isn't always great at first impressions. Meeting new people can be a little overwhelming for her, so she may need a few minutes to settle in. But don't let that fool you, because once she feels safe, she's guaranteed to steal your heart. She is one of the warmest, funniest, cuddliest, most loving dogs you'll ever meet.

At just 11 months old, Cass is a Shar Pei/bully breed mix weighing about 50 pounds.

Cass is both completely deaf and visually impaired. When she arrived, she needed entropion surgery to correct her painful eyelids, and her surgery was a huge success. Despite her challenges, Cass approaches life with incredible resilience, joy, and love.

She absolutely thrives around other dogs and would love a home with medium or large canine companions. She enjoys dogs of every size, but because she plays with the same enthusiasm regardless of her playmate's size, we think she'd be happiest with dogs who can match her energy.

Cass walks beautifully on a leash, settles nicely in her kennel at night, and loves both playtime and cuddle time equally. She would do well in a home with children ages 5 and up. She would do best in a home without cats.

This sweet girl is eager to learn, eager to love, and eager to be someone's best friend. If her future family wanted to teach her hand signals-or even learn a little sign language with her-we think she'd absolutely blossom.

Cass is truly a beautiful soul who deserves a patient, loving family willing to see past her disabilities and recognize the incredible dog she is. She may not be able to hear your voice, but she has a special way of knowing exactly where the love is.

One last thing: Cass is incredibly passionate about giving kisses. Keep a slobber towel nearby, because while she may not hear you coming, the moment she knows you're there, she'll shower you with all the kisses your heart can handle.

Cass's adoption fee is $295 and she's spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Apply to meet Cass today!

The Asher House's Adoption Policy
The Asher House currently focuses on adoptions within Oregon, Washington, and Idaho so that we can provide post-adoption support to our adopters and animals. If you live in one of these three states and see a dog you’re interested in, please complete our adoption application. As part of our adoption process, we ask for two references and conduct a video home check. If we believe one of our animals could be a good match for you, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet for everyone in your household, including your current dog(s). This gives everyone an opportunity to meet and helps us determine together whether the adoption is the right fit. Our goal is always to create safe, loving, and successful lifelong matches for our animals and their adopters. All of our adoptable animals are on our website www.theasherhouse.com.
