Casey Jones 26C-52's Story

The Humane Society for Animals in Rogers is renowned for assigning the residents names that are appropriate and pertinent to their breed, their gender, and most importantly, their life stories. Casey Jones, as most literary astute humans will recall, is a famous American folk hero and railroad engineer who heroically saved the lives of all the train passengers during a colossal collision. Our seven-year-old Humane Society Casey Jones was struck by a train and miraculously survived with only minor injuries. He walks with a slight limp but smoothly moves along with an occasional skip and a hop that are actually quite charming. Casey Jones loves to play with other canines of all descriptions and genders. He is wonderfully housetrained and during the cold winter months he loves to lay in front of a warming fireplace. He would love to have a human to cuddle close.

Even though our Humane Society Casey Jones has never been immortalized by a Johnny Cash song, he said that he would gladly help contribute a few verses to the lucky human who makes him a part of the family. He would also love to go for rides where he is allowed to emulate his engineer role model by leaning out the “train” window and feeling the wind in his face.
