Carver's Story

Name: Carver
Sex: Male
Weight: 87 lbs
Breed: Pointer
Age: 5 years
Before OMD: Carver’s prior owner reached out when he could no longer care for him, and now he’s soaking up all the love (and couch time) with us he can get while waiting for his forever family.
Nicknames: Carvey, Mr. Polite
Energy Level: The perfect mix of couch potato and walking buddy . . . until a squirrel enters the chat
Introvert or Extrovert: Extrovert! He loves meeting new people and making instant friends.
Best Physical Features: His soulful eyes and perfectly speckled coat. We also think he would look great in glasses (or doggles) for what it’s worth.
Favorite Personality Trait: His quiet, cuddly side. He’ll gently wiggle into whatever space you leave open on the couch or bed.
What we love most: Carver’s easy-going nature. He’s sweet, affectionate, and just genuinely good company. He’s always happy to be near his people without demanding constant attention.
What makes us laugh: He doesn't chew shoes, but may “reorganize” them by moving them around while you’re gone. Why have shoes by the door when they can be sporadically placed around the house?
Working on: Trying really hard not to chase every squirrel he sees (progress is happening, promise).
Life Goal: To finally catch a squirrel (one day!)
Ideal Family: Carver’s pretty flexible, he’s done great in a condo but would also love a yard. As long as there’s a comfy couch and someone to share it with, he’ll be one happy guy.
Housebroken: 100%
Crate Trained: Yes, but also perfectly trustworthy, left out for up to 8 hours
Dogs: Loves them! He’s playful with his foster brother and great with other dogs. He is a fan favorite at doggy daycare!
Cats: Not tested
Kids: Not tested, but we think he’d do great based on his gentle and friendly personality.

Carver is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of CT, IL and surrounding states.
