Caper's Story
Caper is a male, he has a longer body and little legs and so we think he’s probably got some daschund in his genes somewhere.

Caper is our clown - his tail never stops wagging, he’s into everything - he just wants to be close and part of anything that’s going on. He runs and jumps and bounds everywhere and is very confident.

His eyes are a little offset due to his funky genetics, but his vision is perfect and he has no vision or eye issues at all.

Caper is very smart, he has learned to recall to his name, to sit on command, and to gently take treats when you give the command “gentle”. Stay command is a challenge for him, we can see he really wants to cooperate but his tail starts wagging his long body and he gets so excited he runs up to us after only a few seconds.

He plays great with toys and his siblings.

One thing to note about Caper is that he is a talker - he will narrate his thoughts, in bark form, often. He is our loudest and most communicative puppy.

We think Caper would do well in a home with a young family. He’ll need an active home where he doesn’t necessary need long hikes but he will need people to play with him, engage him and continue his training. He’d do well with another dog his size (we think he’ll roughly be 14-16lbs fully grown) and who can handle a very playful, loud, active, clown puppy.

Caper has done well with the cats in his foster home, he barks at them but they ignore him.

Caper is a lot of fun, energy and noise packed into a long and small body.

Caper will be neutered upon his arrival to Ohio on June 13th.
