Canelo is frequently meeting new dogs and people and continues to show what a social, adaptable boy he is. While hes friendly and enjoys making new friends, he may occasionally take a few extra seconds to warm up to unfamiliar people before showing off his silly personality.<br/><br/>Canelo was born with a condition called coloboma, which affects the vision in one of his eyes. Because of this, he can be a little sensitive to people reaching over the top of his head, especially if he doesnt know them yet. He much prefers gentle chin scratches and slow introductions. Once he realizes youre a friend, youll quickly discover what a loving and trusting companion he is.<br/><br/>Despite his visual impairment, Canelo doesnt let anything slow him down. He enjoys playing, exploring, and learning new things. Hes already started foundation work in disc sports and has shown a lot of promise. Hes been to dog sport competitions, traveled well for adventures, and rides wonderfully in the car. He loves his kennel and you will often find him relaxing in it at free will. Canelo has even joined his people on a hiking trip to Colorado and explored a national park, taking every new experience in stride. With continued training, he could absolutely excel in dog sports, hiking adventures, or any activity that allows him to bond with his person. <br/><br/>Canelo is the perfect combination of sweet and silly. One minute hes melting into your lap for cuddles, and the next hes bouncing around making everyone laugh with his goofy antics.
