11/4/25. 4-year-old CANELO is a sweet dober boy that is good with children and little dogs. He was so happy to come out of his kennel today and roll around on the turf. His owner could no longer care for him in her mobile home, so he finds himself in need of a new family with some grass to frolic and roll in. He still needs to be neutered and have entropion surgery on his eyes, so a local foster/foster-to-adopt in the Broward Ft. Lauderdale area would be wonderful. This boy is going to be stunning when he is all fixed up. If you are interested in fostering/adopting or donating towards CANELO for his surgery, we would greatly appreciate it.<br/><br/>10/20/25 Welcome Canelo, a lovely fawn boy who really needs to get some good nutrition. His eyes are both infected, which makes him a medical priority. He also needs to be neutered. Canelo is the son of Lyla, and he gets along well with small dogs and kids of all ages. We’re not sure how he feels about cats yet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs.
