Candi is the kind of dog who gets so excited to see you that her whole body wiggles when she wags her tail. It’s impossible not to smile when Candi is around! <br/>Candi is a petite girl at just 9 lbs - but don’t let her size or her tiny little face fool you! She loves to wrestle with her doggy friends (who she keeps in line quite well, thank you very much) and has the endurance of larger dogs when it comes to long walks on the trail. Although she’s always up for an adventure, she’s also just as happy to cuddle with her people and take a nap on the couch. <br/>Although Candi is settling beautifully into life as a family dog, her journey hasn’t always been easy. She and her best friend Cashew were found together in a vacant home, so it’s understandable that the world can still feel a little scary sometimes. Despite that, Candi continues to show just how resilient, loving, and adaptable she is every single day. She walks well on a leash, sleeps quietly in her crate overnight (with her best bud Cashew) and periodically throughout the day, and has only had a few accidents in the house. She is polite with food, but is food-motivated enough to make training a breeze. <br/>Speaking of training, Candi has learned “sit” and is working on recall and is catching on very quickly. Candi is an extremely smart and adaptable pup, who settles into routine easily. Understandably, Candi is still a bit shy when meeting new people and other dogs, but warms up quickly with proper introductions. <br/>Candi will thrive in a patient home that can give her the support and reassurance she needs to continue to build her confidence and learn that the world isn’t so scary after all. Every day she becomes a little braver, a little sillier, and a little more comfortable showing her sweet personality. This gentle little girl is going to make an incredibly loyal companion for one very lucky family. ❤️
