Meet Camel

Hi, my name is Camel! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Goofy, playful, curious, chowhound
-Can Live with Kids: We have never seen Camel with kids so we can't be sure how he'll react. At this time, we're recommending an adult only home, or at least one with older, dog-savvy teenagers who are able to read and understand canine body language. Everyone will need to meet at the shelter first to ensure they all get along!
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history, will need slow, supervised intro.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, after an initial introduction here at the shelter and a prolonged introduction process in the home. Camel would do best with a dog of similar size and playstyle.
-Can do Apartment Living: Not ideal-- Camel is large, active, vocal, and may not do well in tight spaces (elevators, hallways, etc)
-Potty Trained: Unknown- he has displayed good potty habits at the shelter, which is a good sign!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required but would certainly benefit!
-Energy Level: Medium
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a neuter and microchip.

Additional Information: Camel is a sweet young dog who knows some basic commands but sometimes lacks in the general manners department (jumpy, a little pushy when he wants something.) He's highly food motivated which will go a long way in continuing his training! Camel needs an adopter who can work with him a little every day to help him grow more accustomed to basic handling as well as the world around him. He's a curious pup and catches on to new things pretty quickly! Camel would do best in a quieter home-- not a good match for someone who wants to take their dog to busy events/breweries/etc. Camel is playful, goofy, and has tons of potential!
