Callisto (Stray Cafe) Cane Corso Mix New Orleans, LA

This beautiful 1.5 year old Cane Corso mix boy is Callisto. He is a big goof who wants nothing more then to be his best self. Adopted as a puppy, he was later returned when the family could no longer meet his needs. Now, he finds himself stuck at the Stray Cafe, waiting for the next family to call his own.

Callisto has received beginner and intermediate training at PetSmart followed by a personal trainer, and is a wonderful dog. Like most dogs, he just needs someone to be consistent with his training. His trainer feels so strongly that he’ll flourish in the right home that she has offered a free training session to his future adopter.

Because of his size and youthful exuberance, Callisto would do best in a home without small children. Older, teenaged children would be best. He wasn’t well socialized to dogs, so he would be great as an only dog or with slow introductions to a new dog. Despite being surrendered, he's described by his current owner as "a happy dog who wants to play and be loved." The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250
