Callie Girl's Story

What a doll. Callie Girl is a bit uncertain of why she ended up in the shelter but she is making the best of it! She's an adorable mixed breed gal, compact and stout. Callie weighs 54 pounds and is a young adult.

She is friendly and sweet. Walks well on a leash and has an easy going temperament. Callie arrived with another dog which leads us to believe she would do well in a home with another pet.

Callie Girl had the fortune to go on a "doggie day out" and had a great time. "Went on a 4 mile walk at Empire Mine. A friend to all, so calm and attentive. Walked great on leash, sat quietly in the car wanted to say hello to everyone. Callie is sweet and her happiness in infectious. She loved her walk but runs for no one. Every tree must be inspected and every blade of grass must be sniffed. but as interested as she is in different sights and smells she will absolutely take pets over everything else. If she thinks that you haven't pet her enough she will tell you with a gentle paw and a smiling face that captures your heart. We love Callie Girl!"

Dogs that are not yet spayed or neutered are available for "Foster-to-Adopt."

Please note: We only offer fostering to individuals in and around Nevada County.

Our foster-to-adopt program is for dogs awaiting their spay or neuter.
