Calli's Story

If you ever wonder what a foster home can do for a shelter dog, I can sure tell you. I feel like part of a family, and that makes me the happiest girl. That's something that you never feel in a shelter. I'm Calli, a young, gorgeous girl who came to the shelter with my wee pups needing help and support and love. They have been adopted, and I've been waiting patiently for a while for my one and only family to find me and want to love me forever.

I've been living in this wonderful foster home, and boy am I thriving. I had such a tough time at the shelter, but now, I can show my true personality. I've got a great routine going, and I don't have to worry about all that noise and stress. I am housetrained, and I have good house manners. Whenever I'm alone in the house, my foster family no longer kennels me, and I am doing great! I have a 4-foot fenced in back yard, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to run around and play.

I love being around my foster family. I help my foster by doing a little "supportive snoozing". If they are working in the office, I am right there, ready for duty if needed. I definitely believe in a great work/life balance. Get some daily walks in, but snooze and chill whenever you can. I'm always working on my skills at navigating other dogs on the walk. Yes, I do still pull sometimes and bark at another dog along the way. But I'm practicing every day on how to be cool, calm and collected.

I would prefer to be your one and only dog at home in order to soak up all the attention. If you like to go for walks, enjoy relaxing evenings on the couch, and have the patience to help me blossom then I look forward to meeting you!

Love from Calli
