Callaway

Hi, I'm Callaway! I'm shy, but you can pick me up. Earlier this month, I was found in a bad animal welfare situation with 134 other dogs. Thirteen of us were then brought to Big Lake Humane Society as part of a nationwide rescue effort led by Animal Rescue Corps. Because of the conditions we faced in the breeding facility, most of us do not know what it's like to be a companion dog. Now that we are safe and carefully looked after by loving people with lots of patience, we are slowly learning to relax into a better way of life for ourselves as companion dogs. We needed this chance to shine.

Anyone interested in us should know that most of us are flight risks. A fenced-in yard is preferred, as well as a preparedness to handle our tendencies to bolt. Also, it would be ideal for there to be at least one other animal in our forever homes, as we are all accustomed to being around other dogs.

If you're interested in adopting me, please submit an application at https://biglakehumane.org/adoption-process-application/

****Please note that some other pet adoption sites may not update their listings promptly after an animal is adopted, or they might not reflect new intakes, all animals in our care, or updates to each animal's bio. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on available pets, we encourage you to visit https://biglakehumane.org
