VIP: Caisson is a friendly youngster who loves to be petted and will jump up to get more of them. Caisson is a big boy about 13 months of age and loves to play with toys. He is just the waggiest and sweetest boy!! He is really a big goof ball who loves being around people and being by your side! Caisson went on a group dog walk with other dogs from the shelter and was a very excited puppy! He harnessed up fairly well for his size and loaded right into the car. Caisson rode in the back but would love to ride in the front seat if he could. He did well leading the pack along the walk. Caisson has lots of energy and is very strong. He definitely could benefit from leash training. Caisson was very playful with the other dogs and is just a big puppy! Adopters should understand that youngsters take a lot of time, patience and training. He was never claimed by his owner and wants a forever home. Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. Plano Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
