Well, then you have to meet C.J.!<br/><br/>He's gentle yet brave, mellow but still playful, dignified yet goofy. You would never know by meting C.J. just how much adversity he's faced in his life. We don't know how his life began but we do know that he was surrendered to a high kill shelter by his "family" several years ago. He was a volunteer favorite while there and at least one person invested a good deal of time and effort into training C.J. He demonstrates an impressive level of discipline and obedience and knows "sit", "down", "drop it", "heel" and likely other commands that we have yet to discover. But sadly, his time ran out at the shelter and CJ was given a final deadline. Volunteers pleaded for someone to save his life until finally, their prayers were answered. A rescue group pulled C.J. from the shelter just in time and everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief, content in the knowledge that C.J. was safe. Or so they thought. <br/><br/>C.J. spent the next several years being shuffled from one boarding facility to another, never knowing love, neve knowing kindness, forgotten and neglected. But C.J. is a testament to resilience, a beacon of hope. Despite all the ups and downs, the uncertainty, his spirit remains unbroken and he has somehow managed to retain a sheer joyfulness that is hard to put into words. But you can see it. You can see it in the way a smile lights up his face when presented with a ball and a good game of fetch. You can see it in the happy little prance he does when given a little bit of praise and a treat for a job well done. His joy is simply infectious. He might take a minute to get to know you, but once he does he's quite the cuddler too. He's more than just a pet, he's a companion, a friend, a family member and he's so very deserving. He's waiting for a home where he can share his love and loyalty. Adopt C.J. and let his unbroken spirit fill your home with joy and warmth
