Butters's Story
Greetings drool enthusiasts! Did anyone order a mini corndog? Doesn't matter - I'm here anyway and ready to become your best friend for life. My name is Butters, and I'm looking for a forever family that can dote on me and treat me like the princess I am. I arrived at Animal Aid after being found wandering around outside without a person. Nobody claimed me, and it appeared that I had been used for breeding for quite some time. My mammary glads still look kind of funky, but my motherhood days are well beind me.

I'm incredibly friendly with all people of all ages. I truly cannot get enough lap time and pets. I'd follow you around all day if I could, but I also don't mind being alone for moderate amounts of time. I'm even crate trained! I could still use a little help with potty training when I'm in a new environment, but I'm 75% there and will use pee pads if they're available to me.

I may like to be an only animal in my forever home. I do alright with bigger dogs, but cats are too tempting to chase. I'm not a fan of small dogs or dogs that bark at me. A dog that plays a bit is great, though I prefer napping and burping over zooming and wrestling.

Overall, I'm pretty low energy. It doesn't help that exercise makes it hard for me to breath. Yanno, Frenchie stuff. Speaking of that, my breed lends itself to more health issues than other breeds, so be prepared for some extra TLC when needed. I do enjoy leisurely walks and short bursts of play. I don't mind getting all my nooks and crannies cleaned out, and I'm very easy to take on car rides. Sometimes new environments are a little overwhelming, but I'm very resilient and adaptable.

Interested in meeting me? Please fill out an application at animalaidpdx.org.

Est.
