I'm a *little* chunky at about 13 pounds, house-trained, okay with children older than five and dogs, but I really like to chase and bark at the cats! I would never hurt them, but I think it's fun to stir them up a bit! I can be nippy if I've had enough petting, holding or play, so that's why I'm not really a big fan of small children. Sometimes, a guy just needs his space. And then, sometimes, I really want all of the love and attention you can give! What can I say? I am a special boy!
I get a little protective when it comes to food and my people, I don't know any tricks yet, and I don't really have any manners, BUT I'm young and willing to learn. A good training class and lots of socialization should help build my confidence and skills in no time!
At my foster home, we are working on crate training, and learning how to eat dog food, too, as that isn't something I've ever eaten before. I love my Earthborn lamb food and whitefish treats! My foster mom says it's so much healthier than the human food I used to eat. Yum!
I was an "indoor dog" at my old house and used pee pads to potty on, but I haven't used those silly pads once at my foster home, and that's okay with me!
These days, I love being outdoors! I hope that I get to spend the rest of my life soaking up the sunshine with my new family.
Wouldn't you like a cute little dog like me to BUTTER you up?

NOTE: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
