If something is happening nearby, she fully believes she should be involved.<br/><br/>Buttercup’s mom came to us as a stray in rough condition — severely matted, neglected, and pregnant. Not long after coming into rescue, she gave birth to four puppies. Sadly, one puppy didn’t survive, but Buttercup and her siblings have grown into healthy, happy puppies ready to find families of their own.<br/><br/>Born on February 28, 2026, Buttercup is your typical puppy. She loves toys, exploring, playing, and then crashing for a nap like she’s worked a full-time job. She’ll need all the usual puppy training including housebreaking, crate training, leash walking, and learning basic manners as she grows up.<br/><br/>Her future family also needs to understand grooming upkeep. Shih Tzu coats mat very easily if they aren’t brushed regularly, especially around the behind area, and puppy coats can actually be harder to maintain while their adult coat comes in. Regular brushing and routine grooming appointments are a must to keep her comfortable and healthy.<br/><br/>Buttercup is spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped—she’s all set for her next chapter.<br/><br/>Her adoption fee is $600. Apply to adopt Buttercup at: www.adoggie4you.org<br/><br/>Buttercup is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and along the East Coast. There is an additional $250 transport fee. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
