Butter Lamb's Story

Butter Lamb, affectionately known as Lamby, is a 2-year-old Cavalier who is already making wonderful progress in foster care. She arrived from a puppy mill in Ohio with her signature “sheared sheep” haircut, but her soft coat is already starting to grow back in nicely!

Lamby may have been unsure at first, but her confidence is growing more each day. While she is still unsure of touch, she does enjoy being near her people and is learning that attention can be a good thing, all at her own pace.

Her absolute favorite thing? Other dogs! She lights up in their presence and takes so much comfort in having canine friends around. Because of this, she’ll do best in a home with a friendly dog who doesn’t mind her being right in the mix.

Lamby is playful, curious, and full of goofy energy. She’s learning about toys, exploring her environment, and keeping everyone entertained with her silly antics. She’s crate trained, doing well with house training, and continuing to build confidence with new experiences like car rides. A fenced yard is required as she isn't leash trained yet.

She’s also started her weight loss journey and has already lost multiple pounds. She’s feeling better, more active, and heading in a great direction (with the occasional snack as motivation 😉).

Lamby’s ideal home will have a fenced yard, a dog buddy, and a patient family ready to help her continue to grow and thrive. She’s already come so far, and it’s been so rewarding to watch her personality shine 🐾

ADOPTION FEE : $450
Please submit an application through our rescue, NOT a Petfinder inquiry
---------------------------------------
Apply to adopt here:
https://puppymillrescueteam.org/dog-adoption-application/

This dog is located in Kenmore NY. Puppy Mill Rescue Team 's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION POLICIES The Puppy Mill Rescue Team’s dogs are placed into adoptive homes within 60 miles of the foster home. We have foster homes in Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY, and Macedonia, OH. When applying for a specific dog please check the profile to see where the dog is located. If you are not in this area and are looking to adopt, we recommend that you visit our Rescue Partners area or Petfinder.com to locate a rescue in your area. A legally binding Adoption Agreement must be signed at the time a dog is placed. The adoption donation varies and is included in the dog’s description on the website as well as in the Adoption Agreement. Adoption donations are not negotiable and payment must be made in full prior to or at the time of the placement of the dog. Please read prior to submission of an application for adoption. All potential homes must complete our adoption process which includes an application, meet and greet, home inspection and veterinary reference. Applicants must provide veterinary references if they have previously owned a pet and contact veterinary facilities to authorize release of their records to a PMRT representative upon request. Applicants who rent their homes must verify that they are permitted to have a dog and provide a landlord contact number on the adoption application. Landlords will be contacted in every case, no exception. The primary adopter must be at least 21 years old. We are solely committed to the dogs accepted into the rescue. We want to find them loving, permanent homes and go to great lengths to place the right dog into the right family. We reserve the right to decline any adoption based on what we feel is in the best interest of the dog.
