Burrito 's Story
Meet Burrito!

Burrito is a sweet little guy with a big heart who’s just waiting for the right person to help him fully shine. At around 2 years old and 15 pounds, he’s the perfect small companion size—easy to scoop up and even easier to fall in love with.

Burrito came to us from a difficult situation where he didn’t receive the care he deserved. One of the most heartbreaking things we saw was a collar that had become embedded in his neck. Despite everything he’s been through, Burrito has shown incredible resilience and a gentle nature.

He can be shy when meeting new people and may bark out of nervousness at first—but it’s all fear-based, never aggression. Once he feels safe, Burrito transforms into the ultimate cuddle buddy. He becomes deeply attached, happily following his person everywhere and soaking up all the affection he can get.

Burrito would do best in a calm, patient home that understands he may need a little time to adjust. A family that is home often would be ideal, as he truly thrives on companionship. He’s crate trained, sleeps well through the night, and is doing great with going to the bathroom outside.

He currently lives in a foster home with multiple dogs and gets along wonderfully with both big and small canine friends.

Burrito is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and will have a health certificate prior to adoption. He’s been through a lot, but now he’s ready for his fresh start—with a family who will give him the love he’s always deserved.

https://www.livefreerescue.com/adoption-application

**We can’t adopt to MA residents**
