Meet Bumper

ID: 53849705

Meet Bumper! This affectionate and friendly guy is approximately 2 years old, a fun-sized pittie mix, and an overall good boy in search of his forever home. Bumper, or Bump as his foster mom calls him, is smart, sweet, and oh-so-snuggly. He is potty-trained, crate-trained, and walks very well on a leash.

Bumper is a lovable meatball who charms everyone he meets. He bonds quickly with humans and loves to spend time with them - following around the house, sleeping in the bed, cuddling on the couch. Bumper has had a lot of training and knows his basics (sit, down, paw, and place) very well. He enjoys gently nibbling on stuffed toys, chewing a benebone, and his favorite toy is a really nice stick (the most affordable toy out there!). He is pretty calm for his age and loves a nice quiet night home on the couch but he also does enjoy adventuring - hikes, a bar patio, he's not picky!

Bumper's backstory involves him being found as a stray with a large mass on his side, which was fixed with surgery. Sometime in his journey to becoming a shelter pup he also had his jaw broken, we are unsure of how, but that has healed nicely as well. We do not know what conditions he came from but we know he will be safe and loved from here on out.

Now, here's the part we want everyone to understand before our boy Bump moves into his next home: he has been living in foster with another playful, friendly dog successfully for months but has had two failed adoptions due to bickering with their resident dogs. He did a board and train program with one of our favorite partner trainers and living with other dogs is not off the table, but his future owners need to be ready to continue his training and set him up for success. We do not recommend he go to a home with cats.

For all interested inquirers please note that Bumper is not at the shelter but in a foster home. Please email foster mom Kim at bakerk3@gmail.com to meet him!
