He was transferred to ABR from the San Jacinto shelter in Riverside County. He has been well trained and is a dreamboat of a dog.<br/><br/>Bumi is very well behaved, but does exhibit some separation anxiety. He doesn’t like to be left alone or to be tied anywhere, but will settle if he has other doggy company. He will sleep at the side of your bed, or in his crate. He loves his walks and loves to play with other dogs.<br/><br/>Bumi has had lots of adventures during his time with ABR. He has visited with humans and met new dogs to play with. He has flown on a private airplane, and then swam in lakes. He has hiked in the Mountains and snoozed on a deck.<br/>If you want a dog that will stay by your side, hike where ever you want to go, rest at your feet and look at you like you are his one and only special love, then Bumi is your pal. He will be your best friend and your constant companion for life.<br/><br/>Bumi is very smart, and very willing to do what you ask of him. He can be a little confused and so it may take a couple of trys to help him understand what you want of him, but when he gets it – he has it. You don’t have to ask him over and over. He is one of the easiest dogs I have had in my home to foster.<br/><br/>A Brittany owner for 20 years saw Bumi’s photo on the shelter website, and strongly believed he was a Brittany. The shelter is a high kill shelter, and so full that they turn away dogs unless there are special circumstances, like the owner dies. So, she picked up Bumi and brought him into rescue with ABR. With Bumi’s blue eye, it is hard to see Brittany in him, but he is our dog now and we are doing our best to find that perfect forever home for him.<br/><br/>If you give Bumi a chance, you will not be sorry.
