This 3-year-old, 12-pound pug is chill, affectionate, and gentle — the perfect mix of people-oriented and independent, meaning she's just as happy snuggled at your side as she is quietly keeping watch from across the room. She greets new people and situations with curiosity and confidence, gets along with every dog she's met (even a reactive one!), and handled horses in Central Park without batting an eye. She's unbothered by alone time, settling herself whether she's crated or free. While she'll cry for the first ten minutes in her crate, she's able to relax and even sleep through the night in there. Her leash manners are essentially perfect — zero pulling, zero weaving.<br/><br/>Her days are simple and sweet: excited greetings in the morning, good energy on walks and at the park, then an off-switch back home where she's all about the couch (top cushion, if she can manage it). She's slow to warm up to toys and play but is starting to come around. Bug would do best in a moderate-to-calm household with someone who's home most of the time — she doesn't need much exercise, but she does need her people.
