Bug's Story

Bug is a 4-6 year old Yorkshire Terrier. He weighs 18 lbs. Bug came from a hoarding case from Louisiana. He is used to being around other dogs and is great with everyone. Bug loves people and is a social guy. Bug is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. He is being fostered in Knoxville, TN and his adoption fee is $250. Bug has one cloudy eye that our vet believes is due to a previous injury. It does hurt him but he likely can not see out of it.

His foster says: Bug is a social dog that loves to be glued to a person. Whether in your lap or lying next to you in bed, he is content to just be near you. He is very treat motivated and likes dogs, big or small. He does well on a leash and is almost completely house broken. He isn't destructive and does fine when I leave the house.

Knox Vintage Pet Project's Adoption Policy
We have a written application all potential adopters must fill out. Once the application is complete, we call all vet references to make sure their current pets are well taken care of (up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, sterilized). If the adopter rents, we will call the landlord to make sure they are allowed to have pets and have no restrictions. We require a meet and greet with all of their current pets before adoption.
