Buddy (on medical leave)

BUDDY (formerly Bubby) came to DREAM rescue as owner surrender. We recently discovered he has an OLD INJURY to his hip and is currently on pain medication and enjoying laser therapy treatment weekly. His FHO surgery to repair his hip is scheduled for mid July, then a 2 -3 week healing of low activity. <br/>We believe BUDDY will be deemed "READY for ADOPTION" by end of JULY.<br/><br/>HIS FOSTER mom has so many great things to say about this boy ! BUDDY is young very (we think almost 3yrs of age) handsome boy and oh so loving companion ready for belly rubs or car rides, or a short walk and couch time. <br/>BUDDY is a strong approx 60 lbs. American Bulldog mix<br/> Neutered & Vaccinated, no flea/ticks, hw negative too<br/> House trained & Crate trained <br/> Great on car rides AND loves his walks (abt 20 min in cool weather)<br/> Enjoys his Favorite toys: Kong ball, and "Big Dawg" chew toy<br/> Described by a caretaker (while in boarding) and foster as:<br/> Sweet, Smart, Well mannered, Loving, low stress, laid back<br/> Already knows a few commands: Sit, Stay, learning LEAVE IT, and <br/> is practicing walking on leash without pulling<br/> Loves human companionship and can be very mellow boy in home<br/> environment with routine, rules, and consistency<br/> Socialized - but best with submissive female dogs<br/> Has shown strong prey drive for cats... not squirrels <br/> Recommend a fenced yard and children over the age of 12<br/> for a dog this strong and young. <br/> SEEKING a FOREVER family and home <br/> ADOPTION application located on the ADOPTME page at Dream4pets.org Must be within 120 mile radius of Miami County, OH
