December 12, 2013<br/><br/>Buddy is blossoming into the most beautiful boy. His coat is growing out – so soft and luxurious. His body is lean and trim. His plume tail is always wagging with his joy for life. What a lovely dog to have around the house with his mannerly way and his calm demeanor snuggled up by your side. Yet he is full of curiosity and energy and joie de vivre too. He loves to watch the world go by through the window glass on these cold winter days, and loves to dance and spin at mealtime or in hopes of accompanying you on that car ride or quick-paced walk!<br/><br/>Although Buddy is affable with friends, family and other household dogs, he is foremost a true and loyal companion who desires to be close to that special someone who cares for him. Buddy may be that special dog for you!<br/><br/> He is a beautiful boy . . . eagerly awaiting a new life in a wonderful home!<br/><br/> Just look at that pretty boy in the recent pics.<br/><br/>Buddy is such a joy to have in his foster home. He gets along with all the dogs in the home both the cavaliers and non-cavaliers, but prefers to be near his foster mom. He was surrendered to rescue when his family could no longer care for him. He was overweight at 34 lbs. His teeth were in pretty bad shape and suffered from neglect. His hair was matted and needed to be shaved. He was taken to the Vet for a complete exam and full dental. He currently weighs 26 pounds and is almost at his ideal weight which is likely around 24 pounds. <br/><br/>Buddy has a heart murmur and his heart is slightly enlarged, but at this time medication is not needed. All his remaining teeth were extracted due to dental disease. He is currently eating a grain-free canned food while his mouth is healing.<br/><br/>Buddy's personality is typical for the breed. He is friendly, mild-mannered, sweet, and a snuggler . He wants to be near his family, especially his foster mom. He sleeps by her at night, loves to go on errands and needs a home with a yard.
