Buddy's Story

Meet Buddy – a loyal, loving senior companion looking for a gentle home.
Buddy is a neutered Miniature Pinscher/Jack Russell Terrier mix born 04/19/2017 with his playful, energetic nature.
Buddy is incredibly smart and well-trained. He knows multiple commands, sits and waits politely at doors, and won’t start eating until you give the “OK.” He responds well to calm guidance and consistency.
He eats ¾ cup twice a day, and he loves a little canned pumpkin “gravy” on his meals—something that’s also helped his digestion. He happily takes a small treat after meals as his “dessert.”
Buddy seems to be house-trained and does his business quickly, though he needs a bit of encouragement in cold weather. In warmer months, he lives for fetch and enjoys playing with kids and other dogs. His playful growls are all part of the game.
He is excellent in a crate and will run right in when asked, especially for a treat. He also loves his bed and blanket and even tucks himself in at night. Buddy is a snuggler through and through—he could spend countless hours cuddling—and he simply wants to be close to his person.
Buddy truly is a bright, devoted, loving dog looking for a second chance with a new family.
All medical work is completed prior to adoption including neuter shots worming flea treatment rabies shot kennel cough micro chip and vet examination.
The pre-adoption application is available on the website www.prairiepawsrescue.com.
