Buckwheat is brand new to the Pen Pals program and arrived at the correctional center in early October. Buckwheat is a Parson Russell Terrier - Bull Terrier mix in the mode of Spuds McKenzie. About 2 years old, this little gal is sweet! She has a great personality with the promise of being a talented and motivated agility dog. Since she loves to play, she would be a popular friend to children and afterwards would love lying beside you as you catch up on the news or read a book. As an extra bonus, Buckwheat loves riding in the car and meeting new people. She plays well with other dogs and is highly food motivated---an excellent trait for obedience training. She is a quick learner, too. Buckwheat would be happy as the only dog in a family, or as a member of a multi-dog family.
