WEEKEND ADOPTION EVENTS:
SATURDAY, APRIL 27 from 12 - 3PM: Dog Adoption Event at OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We’ll have several dogs there looking for homes!
SATURDAY, APRIL 27 from 12 - 3PM: Adoption Event & Fundraiser at THE 403 CLUB, a pinball bar located at 614 Reynolds Ave, Kansas City KS. More info: https://www.facebook.com/events/959604449008617
WEEKEND SHELTER HOURS:
SATURDAY & SUNDAY, APRIL 27 & 28: OPEN 10AM - 3PM — NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY!
BUCK aka Buck-A-Roo is a 2 year old American Bulldog mix. He came to us with an injured leg that had to be amputated. We placed Buck in a foster home to recover, and he is finally done with his physical maintenance and ready for adoption! Buck is a fun-loving, happy boy looking for a family to commit forever to a life of fun with a side of structure. He listens well, has a good recall, and is eager to learn whatever you have to teach him. He is gaining confidence, learning how to get around with just 3 legs, so he can rock n roll with his friends like he used to. As you can see in the photos, Buck gets along great with other dogs and lives with multiple dogs in his foster home. While he loves to have fun, Buck also loves the snuggles, so you get the best of both worlds with this guy!

ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
