Barkley was adopted 10-21-2025. His new home is in Texarkana TX. <br/><br/>Bubba Barkley is a male black and tan Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie). Barkley is 3 years old and weighs about 11 lbs. Barkley is neutered, vaccinated including rabies. He is heartworm negative and is on monthly preventive. Bubba Barkley is ready for adoption.<br/><br/>Bubba Barkley aka Bubba aka Barkley was owner surrendered because he was outnumbered by old folks at his home, with two senior (translate as grouchy) canine siblings, his senior mom felt he would thrive in a home more suited to his age. She has had him since a puppy so this was a difficult decision for her. That said, Barkley has an average activity level and is not overactive. However he can keep up with playful dogs, active adults who perhaps want to go for walks, or even children. He is a basically friendly guy. Barkley is fine on a leash, pretty well potty trained for a Yorkie (if you know you know), and is used to being kenneled when you leave the house. Bubba has a personality pretty typical of his breed…he’s alert, catlike in his choice of perches, and a bit independent. Bubba Barkley has two special considerations for a potential adopter: he takes allergy medication (but is otherwise very healthy), and he is a runner so care should be taken with opening doors and with fences or leashes not properly equipped to contain him. This breed also requires daily brushing and regular trips to the groomer. <br/><br/>Adoption fee is $300.
