Meet Bubba the Lab
Bubba is a 3 year old male lab mix. He has quite a story for being just 3 years old.
He was found as a stray with an injured front leg. He was very scared and reactive in the shelter. But the folks there saw something in him that they knew he was a good dog.
When he first came in he was very kennel reactive but when out of the kennel he was a different dog. He plays with other dogs but can be a little possessive of his things.
For a year while he was worked with, he carried around a painful, non-functioning front leg. A vet said his leg was savable but we found that not to be true and our vet said he was in great pain (likely contributing to his behavior). So his leg was amputated and he has not missed a beat!
He also is reactive to men. He has never bitten a soul but will growl. So we think the best home for him is either a female home or one where the male is dog savvy and will be patient with him.
Bubba is a big goofy, happy boy! He loves to play and he loves to ride in the car!
We promise if you meet him you will love him.
Bubba is fostered in Windham, CT.
