Brynn's Story... Brynn was found as a stray by a member of the public in Philadelphia and taken to Animal Care and Control. She was shy in her kennel and it took volunteers a bit to make her comfortable enough to come out. A rescue representative met Brynn and she was evaluated to join the rescue. Brynn spent a few days in a temporary foster home and was then moved into her longer term placement. Brynn currently resides in a foster home with 3 other dogs that need a slower introduction period. She has met dogs of all sizes and does very well with all. Brynn does not have an overbearing play style but enjoys running with other dogs. She has been submissive with other dogs that may seem pushy. Brynn has not met cats but was focused when she came across a stray cat. Brynn is a lower energy dog but does love to play and zoom in the yard. She will require a fully secure yard for her adoptive home. Brynn walks well on the leash but can pull if she becomes nervous. She often looks to go to each door on a walk but does get excited when her leash is presented. She also likes to nudge her leash to indicate wants to go. She is fully housetrained and goes out on a regular schedule but will also scratch at the door if she wants to go. Brynn is a quiet dog. Her bark resembles a chirp and her cries are like a puppy. She will bark/cry when you are leaving but will settle easily after you are gone. Brynn loves to roll around and cuddle with her people. She allows full handing and is very good at the vet. She will need an adopter who will allow her time to adjust and ensure that meets with strangers are not overbearing to continue a positive association. If allowed to come to people on her own she will seek out their attention. She will shy away from people who are pushy. Brynn will also need an adjustment period with environment changes such as visits to a relative’s home. Brynn is being showered with love in her foster home and learning to feel more confident, especially with the help of her foster dog cousins. Brynn has started learning about what fun toys can be. She loves to hand play and roll around with her people. She easily gives her toys to the handler and has not shown any issues with food. She is always looking to eat but takes treats nicely. She likes to wiggle her butt when you talk to her. She is a very smart girl and already knew to sit and down. She is food motivated to learn new tricks. This sweet lovable girl will be a wonderful addition to somebody's family!!!
