While she may be shy at first, she has made great progress and continues to gain confidence every day.<br/><br/>Bryce would do best in a home with a secured fenced yard, where she can safely go outside for her bathroom breaks and not risk running away. She is not fully house-trained yet, but she does an excellent job using pee pads and is making progress. Because she can be vocal at times, she is not well suited for apartment or shared-wall living.<br/><br/>She gets along well with other dogs, though she prefers that they respect her space around food and treats. A dog-savvy companion could be a wonderful role model for her.<br/><br/>Bryce is searching for a quiet, adult-only home. She is not a good match for families with small children. More than anything, she needs a patient adopter who understands that trust cannot be rushed. Once she feels safe, Bryce's sweet personality begins to shine.<br/><br/>Bryce is also not comfortable with kennels or tie-outs, as they are very stressful for her. She will thrive in a home that can provide her with freedom, consistency, and a predictable routine.<br/><br/>If you have a calm home, a kind heart, and the patience to let Bryce blossom at her own pace, you'll be rewarded with the privilege of watching this special girl become the loving companion she's meant to be.<br/><br/>3/18/2024 Foster Feedback: Bryce is a sweet, shy girl looking for a patient home to call her own. Although she has come a long way gaining confidence while she has been with me, trusting new people and going new places is still pretty scary for her. She is still working on potty training, but she does pretty good if let her out a handful of times a day. I do kennel her while I am at work and at night and she does well. I put puppy pads in the kennel and every once in a while she does still go on them before I get up or get home from work, but they have been mostly clean for a while now. Once in her new home, I feel like she will back track on the potty training for a bit while she gets used to everything again.<br/>Bryce would benefit from having a confident dog friend or two in her new home. She looks to my dog a lot for guidance. I have also have watched a few dogs for friends while she has been with me and after slow intros they all got along great. Bryce does have a tendency to guard certain toys and beds from other dogs, so this is something to mindful of.<br/>Bryce still needs work with being on a leash, she is fine with them until she gets to the end of it and then she freaks out. Because of this, Bryce's new home needs to have a fully fenced-in yard. She would not do well on a tie out. This also means that apartment life would not be for her.<br/>I am unsure how she would do with kids, her reaction to all the new people that she has met has been the same, she keeps her distance and keeps a watchful on them. Any kids in her new home would need to be old enough to understand that Bryce needs to be approached slowly and on her terms.<br/>Although Bryce is very much a work in progress, once she trusts you she is a very sweet silly girl who just wants to be near you.To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org
