My foster parents say I am a good boy who hasn't had accidents in the house, I do well in a crate, I'm quiet, and I'm working on my manors. They melt at my hunky smile and gorgeous spots. <br/><br/>My personality is energetic, playful, and observant. I like to be your shadow and could play fetch for hours. I'm not so sure about cuddles yet. My preference is for both of us to be couch potatoes in separate spaces.<br/><br/>My family loved me very much, but it seems like they didn't have the time or the means to care for, or train, me. When their small human (4 years old) tried to force me into my crate, I bit him. Even though I had never bit anyone before, they still surrendered me to a shelter. I like to lick and I wasn't ever told that nipping with my teeth was bad! My foster parents are noticing that I am adjusting to new rules well. I am learning quickly and want to please.<br/><br/>I need a family that can give me consistent boundaries and clear rules. Because of my past, it's best for me to not be in a home with children or other pets.<br/><br/>I love TENNIS BALLS!! Or really, any toys at all. I'm a little obsessed.<br/>I need an experience pet owner that can continue to work with me on boundaries.<br/><br/>Here's a little more about me:<br/>Housetrained? Yes.<br/>Leash-trained? Mostly. Working on no tugging.<br/>Rides well in a car? Yes.<br/>Good with other dogs? No.<br/>Good with cats? Cat<br/>Good with young children? No.<br/>Good with strangers? Yes.<br/>Shy or confident? Confident.<br/>Barks? No. I'm a very quiet guy!<br/>Apartment qualified? Yes. <br/>Any Special needs or Health Issues? Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced.
