Meet Bruno

Male, 8 years, 20 lbs

Personality: smart, gentle, goofy/funny, snuggler, and loyal.

Let's talk about Bruno! This pugtastic cutie has been through a lot and is ready for the good life. Give him some cuddles and a treat and he'll tell you all kinds of great stories . . . mostly through snores and grunts, but they're highly entertaining!

Despite having been rescued from a hoarding situation, Bruno is resilient and loving. He's calm and gentle with people and dogs. He is making great progress on house training and is gaining the confidence to be left home alone. This dapper fellow will thrive with someone who works from home or is retired and spends a lot of time at home, at least until he feels more comfortable being at home without a human. Treats, trust, and good medication will go a long way toward building up his confidence.

This little sweetheart has a lot of wisdom and love to share, so apply today to meet him!

If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.

Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
