Bruno's Story

Sweet Bruno was rescued from the streets as a tiny puppy after a kind Samaritan found him with his snout badly injured, having been chomped off by a stray dog. Despite such a heartbreaking start to life, he was lovingly taken into this person’s home, where he was cared for and protected until he reached adulthood. From there, he was transferred to our rescue so he could find the forever family he truly deserves.

Because of that early injury, Bruno’s snout did not grow properly. But don’t let that worry you — he eats normally, plays normally, and does everything other dogs do. His unique little face only adds to his charm and makes him all the more unforgettable. Most importantly, it has never dimmed his spirit. Bruno is happy, loving, gentle, and incredibly sweet. He has a quiet, tender presence — shy and mellow at first — but he absolutely LOVES people and melts for affection. Once he bonds with you, he will be your soft shadow and devoted companion.

Bruno is well socialized with other dogs and gets along beautifully. He is more on the submissive end of the spectrum and has lovely manners with his canine friends. He would thrive as part of a pack, but he will most likely also do just fine as an only dog, especially if his person is home with him much of the time. What he wants most is connection and love.

He would adore a home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore, or a family committed to giving him plenty of activity and walks. He would happily join you for camping trips, beach visits, or cozy evenings at home. We will be looking for a home where someone is around much of the time, as Bruno truly blossoms with companionship.

Bruno is approximately 1 year old, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500 to help defray his high international transport costs.

To apply for this soulful, loving boy, please copy and paste:
https://gwarp.org/adopt/dog/

Then follow up with a text to Alison at 267-639-0894.
