Meet Bruce!<br/><br/>This big hunk of love needs a really special person to spend the rest of his life with. He’s sadly lost more than one home in the past. Hopefully someone can open their home and love this big hunk forever??<br/><br/>He was first found as a stray. We ended up discovering his first owner passed away(not sure how he got “lost” after that). He was adopted but sadly that family quietly dumped him in a shelter two years later. (Thank god for microchips so we were able to get him back) He was then adopted by his foster family. Sadly over the years he’s become incompatible with the families dogs and pet sitting business. He is now looking for a new home again. <br/><br/>Bruce is a 6 year old, American Bully. He weighs 65 pounds. He’s been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. <br/><br/>He is potty trained and loves car rides. He is crate trained and leash trained but pulls when excited. The more he walks the better he gets with the pulling. He loves hiking and going to the beach. As he’s gotten older he doesn’t last as long on outings but he still loves them. <br/><br/>Bruce has a low to medium energy level. He’s playful and loves tug o war but isn’t very hyper or overly active. He’s a huge goofball with a charming side. He loves bones to chew on and a comfy couch to hang out on. <br/><br/>He is great with cats and would do well with older kids. He has had several issues living with male dogs recently and needs to be the only dog in the home. He may get along with female dogs but we would rather not risk him losing another home over it later. He has done well with other dogs in public (unless they try to hump him) It seems to be an issue of living with other dogs in the home and he can be funny about sharing toys with male dogs also. <br/><br/>Bruce can be wary of strangers at first but does well with proper introductions and it helps if strangers have yummy treats for him. He’s had no issues sharing food, treats or toys with people or cats. <br/><br/>He has allergies and requires a daily pill and a special diet. We won’t sugar coat it, the food is not cheap(photo added to show type/brand). His current owner says he only goes through a 25 pound bag every two months though so it seems to last him a good while. Please be fully prepared financially to accommodate his needs regarding these two things. He has seen a dermatologist and those records can be provided to you with his adoption. <br/><br/>This guy is so special. We know it’s not every family that is willing to open their home to a dog with special needs. Add to that he’s not great with other dogs and he has a big scary look (even though he’s a softie) We hope someone out there can look past that and see that their new best friend is worth it! <br/><br/>?Vet and home checks required. <br/>?No other dogs in the home.
