She's perfectly happy being the calm in the middle of the chaos, quietly reminding everyone around her that life doesn't always have to be so hectic.<br/><br/>And after everything this sweet girl has been through, she deserves a life filled with peace, comfort, and love. <br/><br/>Browny was found in February 2026 running around a construction site along the Texas/Mexico border. Heavy machinery was moving all around her, and she nearly got run over multiple times. Imagine being a dog alone in such a dangerous place, not knowing where to go or how to get somewhere safe.<br/><br/>Thankfully, the workers stepped in and brought her to a sanctuary, where she has been safe ever since.<br/><br/>But safe is just the beginning. Browny deserves a HOME. A family. A cozy bed, a loving human, and the reassurance that she will never have to face the world alone again.<br/><br/>That's where we come in. <br/><br/>And now, we hope someone will look at this beautiful girl and see what we see: an incredibly special dog with so much love to give.<br/><br/>Browny is the definition of a gentle soul.<br/><br/>While other dogs are running around, playing wildly, and getting themselves all worked up, Browny is often the calm, steady presence in the room. In fact, Canelo, our very energetic, zoomie-loving boy who is also available for adoption, can get a little carried away with his excitement. But Browny has a way of calming him down just by being herself.<br/><br/>She doesn't need to bark or make a scene. She simply steps in when play gets too rough, keeping an eye on everyone like a quiet little referee. <br/><br/>She doesn't get caught up in all the craziness. She watches, waits her turn, and gently intervenes when needed. It's almost as if she knows that sometimes her friends need a little reminder to take a breath!<br/><br/>There's something so special about a dog who brings that kind of calm to the world around her.<br/><br/>Browny isn't looking for nonstop excitement or a home where every day is go, go, go. She's much more of a slow-morning, peaceful-afternoon, cozy-evening kind of girl.<br/><br/>A relaxed walk on the leash? Lovely.<br/><br/>A car ride with her favorite people? Absolutely!<br/><br/>A little adventure here and there? And for Browny, it's dinner. <br/><br/>She's very food- and treat-motivated, which can be a wonderful bonus for building a bond and encouraging positive training.<br/><br/>Browny is also great on a leash and crate trained, making her a lovely candidate for a family looking for a companion who can settle into a home routine.<br/><br/>She's not cat-tested yet, but we can arrange a cat test for an interested applicant.<br/><br/>What kind of home would make Browny happiest?<br/><br/>We picture her with someone who enjoys the quieter side of life. And a family who sees her gentle heart as something precious.<br/><br/>Browny doesn't need to be the most energetic dog in the room to be extraordinary.<br/><br/>Sometimes, the sweetest kind of love comes with four paws, a quiet presence, and a little tap dance at dinnertime.<br/><br/>Could you be the person who gives this beautiful girl her happily ever after? <br/><br/>PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:<br/><br/>The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org <br/><br/>Browny is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. <br/><br/>Browny was heart worm negative but had anaplasmosis (baby heart worms) but has completed a 2-injection fast kill heartworm treatment. (On 10/3/2026) You will NEED to keep her on monthly heart worm prevention (just like any other dog) for the rest of their life. No further treatments are needed per our vet. <br/><br/>This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily.
