Brownie - portable, sweet prince - foster or adopter needed!'s Story
Meet Brownie! Brownie is an unusual looking lowrider, probably part Dachshund. He has short, brindle and white fur, and is around 11 years old and 35 lbs. Brownie's elderly owners couldn’t take care of him any longer and made the difficult decision to release him to rescue. Brownie has plenty of energy and loves to play and run, but spends the majority of his time hanging out or napping. He is a great companion in the home and would be a good fit for a home that could take him for walks and play with him but maybe doesn’t need a dog for running or hiking.

Brownie came to rescue very underweight and with a knee injury because of his neglect, but was healed and healthy after a couple of months. He has some hip dysplasia and visits the chiropractor for some occasional physical therapy, but is overall in good health. He recently had an exam, blood panel, and full dental cleaning. He is getting older and his joints are getting to him a bit.

Brownie will want a home where he's showered with love and attention. He will need a moderate amount of exercise. Socially, Brownie is great with adults and children in the home, but takes more time to warm up to visitors and new canine friends. He is reactive and defensive when on leash outside the home, and should be handled by a firm, confident owner accordingly. Brownie unfortunately has too much prey drive to live with cats or small animals. Probably, a quiet retirement home with a foster or forever adopter, where he can be doted on by the same people each day and live a simple life would be best.

Sweet Brownie's adoption fee of $300 includes his basic vaccines, rabies vaccine, microchip, and neuter. He is being fostered in the Everett area If you are interested in adopting Brownie, please complete the following online application:

https://forms.gle/G4N4PPaDkHmEAxaKA

Questions?
