Brownie's Story

Meet Brownie A Tiny Survivor with a Huge Heart

Brownie is a 2-year-old little lady who we believe may be a Brussels Griffon mix, and while we cant be certain of her breed, we are absolutely certain that she is one very special dog.

Brownies journey to rescue wasnt an easy one. She came to Cause For Paws Rescue through a rescue transfer from Winnebago County Animal Services after suffering significant injuries to her back end. We were told that after a family dispute, Brownie was taken by a young family member who later returned home reporting that she had been attacked by another dog. By the time Brownie arrived at animal control, she could barely walk and was in a great deal of pain.

Thankfully, the team at Winnebago County stepped in immediately, providing the medical care and medications she desperately needed. Once she was stable, they reached out to us for a rescue transfer, and we knew this sweet girl deserved a chance at the happy ending shed been missing.

Despite everything shes been through, Brownie has remained nothing but loving and gentle. In her foster home, she has been an absolute dream. She sleeps quietly in her kennel, is potty trained, and gets along wonderfully with all of the other dogs. She doesnt mind cats and has quickly shown that her favorite place to be is curled up next to her people for a cozy evening of cuddles on the couch.

Brownie is still healing, but every day she grows stronger and shows us more of her sweet, resilient personality. Once she has fully recovered, she will be spayed and officially ready to find the forever family she has always deserved.

If youre looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold and a story of incredible resilience, Brownie may be the perfect addition to your family.

Brownie will be available for adoption through Cause For Paws Rescue once her medical care and spay are complete.

SOME PHOTOS MIGHT BE GRAPHIC
