Brooks's Story

Meet Brooks

Brooks is a 5-month-old Terrier mix weighing about 10 pounds, with the cutest scruffy little face and the sweetest personality to match. Somehow, this guy has managed to keep all the adorable puppy charm while skipping a lot of the usual puppy nonsense.

He’s lovable, playful, curious, smart, well-mannered, and surprisingly chill for his age. While he definitely enjoys playtime and puppy fun, his energy level is honestly pretty moderate. He plays in spurts, entertains himself well, and settles easily — making him a dream puppy for someone who wants the fun of a young dog without constant chaos.

Brooks is doing an awesome job with potty training, is learning the ropes with crate training, walks well on a leash, and is already a great sleeper. Truly, he’s such a good boy.

One of Brooks’ greatest passions in life? Toys. This boy is a full-fledged toy collector. He loves digging through the toy bin to pick his favorites, scattering them around the house, and happily entertaining himself (or convincing his foster siblings to join in).

He’s wonderful with other dogs and loves having playmates, but he’s also such an easygoing little guy that we think he could thrive in lots of different home environments. He hasn’t met cats yet, but based on his temperament, we think he’d likely do just fine.

A few bonus Brooks facts:
- He loves being held like a baby
- Has the cutest little yawns imaginable
- Loves hanging out in the yard and sunbathing
- Is impressively quiet (even when the resident dogs are losing their minds…!)
- Is not one of those bitey/scratchy puppy menaces — yes, really!

Brooks would likely love a home with another playful dog sibling, a yard to explore, and humans who will absolutely adore and spoil him the way he deserves.

If you’re looking for a sweet, easy, ridiculously adorable puppy with a scruffy face and an old-soul personality, Brooks might just be your guy.

Brooks is being fostered in Buda, TX and is adoptable in Texas and Northeastern States.

*All breed listings are educated guesses and not guaranteed*
