Brody's Story

Brody came to HUA from local animal control, and it didn’t take long for us to discover what a truly wonderful dog he is. He is affectionate, well-mannered, and wonderfully responsive to his people. Brody comes when called or whistled, moves out of the way when asked, waits for his person before going through doors, and seems to thrive when given clear boundaries. He is also completely potty trained and has been a total cuddle-muffin with everyone he meets.

Brody loves getting out for smell walks, playing fetch, and learning new games. He is especially enthusiastic about his squeaky toys and will happily remind you with a bark if you’re taking too long to throw one! He also enjoys being groomed and happily allows brushing.

Brody is vocal through his fence, but once he is out playing with his doggy friends, his sweet and gentle personality shines through. He has done well with other dogs and would need to meet any potential canine siblings. While he has shown some resource guarding in the past, particularly around attention, his caregivers are working with him on “trade” and have seen great progress. He absolutely loves his people and wants to be part of whatever they’re doing.

Brody is the kind of dog who makes everyone smile. He’s playful, affectionate, smart, eager to please, and wonderfully devoted to his people. We think this handsome boy is pretty special.

Thanks to the generosity of the Compton family, Brody’s adoption fee has been fully sponsored!

Visit Brody at www.hua.org!
