Broccoli's Story
Say hello to Broccoli! He's about 2.5 years old, 19 pounds, and still figuring out that the world can actually be a safe place.

Broccoli came to us after being bounced between homes, most recently relinquished when his previous situation wasn't a good fit. All the changes have left him a little unsure, and when things feel overwhelming, he tends to shut down rather than lean in. But you can already see the good dog underneath it all starting to peek through.

Right now, Broccoli is in that "learning to trust again" stage. He's cautious in new environments and needs time to feel comfortable, especially with big groups or too much commotion. Smaller, calmer dog interactions are much more his speed, and he does well in those settings once he has a chance to settle.

With people, he's gentle and soft. He may not come rushing up right away, but he's observant and slowly warms up when things feel consistent and safe. He's also good with children, as long as the environment is calm and respectful of his space.

What Broccoli really needs is stability. A quiet home, a predictable routine, and someone who understands that trust for him takes time but is absolutely possible. He's still young and has plenty of room to grow into a confident, happy dog with the right support. He's the dog who quietly learns where the soft places are in life and eventually decides to stay. And once he does, that's when you get the version of Broccoli that makes it all worth it. Interested in giving Broccoli the forever home he's been dreaming of? Please inquire today!
