Brisket's Story

Brisket is a 4 to 5 year old male Olde English Bulldog who came into our care from animal control. Since arriving, He's had his wellness exam, boosters, and nails trimmed, and has been settling into foster life well.

He's a calm, gentle boy who loves his routine, his bed, his cozy corner, and most of all, his people. Brisket does well with older kids and enjoys playtime, walks, and relaxing close to his humans. He's fully crate trained, clean in the home, and non-destructive.

Training & Behaviour:
Brisket will require continued behaviour support and patient adopters committed to helping him feel safe and comfortable.
Since coming into care, it has been observed that he can be unsure around men and sensitive to overhead handling or reaching to pet him if he doesn't know you yet. He also startles at loud voices. He is already showing great progress with slow introductions and the chance to warm up at his own pace.

Briskets adoption will include a DDW (Dangerous Dog Waiver) due to a minor bite incident during his initial adjustment into rescue, along with a training session for his adoptive family. This is not meant to scare anyone, but reflects our commitment to transparency and ensuring his future family is prepared to advocate for him and continue building his confidence.

Ideal Home:
A structured, patient home with older children, and a commitment to continuing his training, routine, and decompression needs.
Brisket is a loyal, loving companion looking for a family willing to give him the time and understanding he deserves.

Adoption Fee includes a training session to help set Brisket and his new family up for success.
