Brew's Story

About Brew

Brew is a 10‑month‑old, 70 lb, male Pit Bull X Terrier mix with an adorable personality. He’s the kind of dog who does best with people are ready to have a big love bug to spoil!

Because Brew arrived as a stray, we don't know about his history. Since being in our care Brew has now moved into a foster home while he is up for adoption. They report great things about him! He has been great in the home, affectionate and cuddly. He walks very well on leash, no pulling or using he strength. His energy level is reported to be on the medium side so he is not in great need of a ton of activity each day.

Training & Support

Being young, Brew is still working on his manners. He can be overly excited at times, which may show up as jumping or playful mouthing. These behaviors have lessened once in his foster home but he still presents them at times of excitment. Behaviors like this are very common in adolescent dogs and are part of learning self‑control. Since food is a big motivator for him, training sessions are a great opportunity to build skills while strengthening your bond. A patient, positive approach will help Brew gain confidence and develop into a polite companion.

Ideal Home

Brew would thrive in a household that enjoys moderate exercise, play, and continued training. He would love having owners who like to play and people who are excited to help a young dog grow and learn. Brew could potentially live with another friendly dog and would be happiest with older kids who understand that puppies are still learning their boundaries.

With guidance, structure, and plenty of affection, Brew has all the ingredients to become an incredibly loyal and joyful family member.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ready to Apply?

If you would like to meet Brew, please download an application from our website at:

vancouver.ca/adoption-form

Then, email your complete application to: animal.shelter@vancouver.ca

If your application is approved, we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
All adult dogs at Animal Services have veterinary health checks, and are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed (if necessary) before going to their new homes.
Children: 12+
Cats: Unknown
Dogs: Yes
Training Needs: Excitability
Adoption Fee: $391

If you live in the City of Vancouver, you will also need to purchase a dog licence.

For more information on our adoption process, go to vancouver.ca/adopt
