This handsome boy is always ready for fun, whether thats playing with his favorite squeaky toys, making new friends, or simply hanging out with his people. He has a goofy, lovable personality that keeps everyone around him smiling.

He's the perfect mix of playful and affectionate--one minute he's entertaining himself with a toy, and the next he's leaning in for pets and attention. Brennan loves being part of the action and is always excited to see what the day has in store.

Brennan does great with other dogs and would love a family that will include him in all of life's adventures. Whether you're headed out for a walk, relaxing at home, or looking for a cuddle buddy after a long day, Brennan is happy to be right by your side.

Brennan got to spend part of a recent weekend away from the shelter, and he made sure to enjoy every minute of it!

He went for a nice long walk around the neighborhood and had the best time watching all the people cruise by on golf carts. Back at the house, he explored the backyard, checked out all the sights and fully embraced his role as the neighborhood watch—this handsome boy loves knowing what everyone is up to!

But more than the walks, exploring or people-watching, Brennan’s favorite part of the day was simply being close to someone. He just wanted to be held, snuggled and loved.

Brennan had a wonderful day out, but what he would really love is a family to share all his future walks, backyard adventures and snuggles with. Could that be you?

If you're looking for a dog who will bring lots of laughter, love, and tail wags into your life, Brennan is ready to be your new best friend.

Brennan is a 1 Year Old American Bulldog Mix and he weighs 62 lbs.

Sadly, Brennan tested positive for heartworms. But please dont let this scare you away! We just need to get him into a home during his treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering him (wed love to find him a foster home!). Once his treatment plan is completed, Brennan will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!

ADOPTING A DOG
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).

If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.

We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/FriendsofKCKAS/ for more info about weekend adoption hours, events and available pets.

We are open Monday through Friday by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.

FOSTERING
Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives? Consider fostering by filling out our foster application at https://www.kckpd.org/Animal-Services/Foster-a-Pet. All supplies are provided.
