Brea's Story

Brea is currently living in a foster to adopt home. Her foster mom has put a lot into training and working with her. A decision will be made in late July.

Chicago friends, please meet Brea. Someone out there is about to fall head over heels for this hilarious, cuddly little adoptable dog.

Brea is a bright, playful young girl who forms strong bonds quickly and has adapted really well to all the changes she has experienced in the last several weeks.

She perfectly city-sized, suuuuuper snuggly, easy to walk, funny, crate trained, house broken, SMART, food-motivated, good with kids and cats, very dog friendly (even across a fence!), and 5% mischievous for added fun.

Here's some details about her:
- Full-grown, at 35 pounds.
- She's got some puppy silliness in her. I think she's just turning 1.
- Takes treats very gently.
- Asks for belly rubs 90% of her waking AND sleeping hours.
- Generally quiet.
- Couldn't care less about the train overhead, but the vacuum cleaner must die.
- Sleeps in her crate without a peep but will slither onto the couch to be little spoon for a nap with you.
- Ridiculous zoomies.
- Can play independently, and you'll laugh at her bunny hops when chasing a ball.
- Not particularly licky or mouthy.
- She's generally very confident, but needs work meeting new people. Once she trusts you, she bonds strongly and is affectionate, happy, cuddly, and full of personality.
-She does have a bit of separation anxiety when her person leaves. This is a work in progress. She does go to daycare or is boarded if it is over 2 hours.

Here is a video made by a CACC volunteer during a two-night home stay. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/17ZVY7HryL/

Applications accepted here: https://www.caringanimalrescueinc.com/brea-dog-adopt-bio

Brea is UPTD on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.
