Bravo & Bonita's Story

Bravo and Bonita brother and sister. Both were rescued from the beach in Aguada, Puerto Rico. They were abandoned and surviving best they could off of the generosity of campers in the rv park.

They are two beautiful dogs with hearts of survivors. They are lovely sweet souls that guard at perimeter of fence and alert at night if anyone come near to property. Bravo can hunt iguanas and may not be great with cats (this would require supervision). Ideally if someone has a fenced yard they could run and play together as they do now and keep each other company.

They just have fear of humans and enjoy their freedom as long as they have shelter, food, water and some shout outs "good boy bravo!", "good girl Bonita" you will get tail wags and smiles. If someone has a large fenced outdoor area they would patrol for small intruders (snakes, iguanas, run off other critters). They have been with my other rescues big and small and have always been gentle. Bravo gets picked on a bit by the older dogs but more in a loving way.. as no one gets hurt and all come together daily.

They have been living in a beautiful environment yet I would like for someone who has some experienced with traumatized dogs that is patient and loving, who has a fenced yard with shelter that can offer them the space to be the yard dogs. Their breed is unknown to me yet they were also found with a black/white husky/german looking dog that could have been their father (hard to know for sure but see some resemblance). Their bodies are lean like greyhound and they are very fast runnners. They are not excessive barkers but will alert as needed. They will tend to shy away rather then confront and keep distance. Low maintenance , outdoors, someone understanding of traumatic childhood and/or someone willing to gain or have them trained if wanting them to obey command and come closer. Otherwise they would be great yard dogs that as long as they have fenced yard , food water and preventives ... they will be happy together.

Can be flown anywhere in US for adoption or foster.
