This handsome boy came to the shelter as a stray, frightened and unsure of the world around him. Staff noticed what appeared to be old bite wounds on his face and head, and it’s clear that life hasn’t always been kind to him. Despite his difficult start, Braun’s heart remains soft, hopeful, and ready to trust again.<br/><br/>When meeting new people, Braun can be a little shy and cautious at first. But once he realizes he is safe, his true personality begins to shine. Before long, he is leaning in for affection, curling up close for cuddles, and soaking up every bit of love he can get. Underneath his timid exterior is a deeply affectionate puppy who simply wants to feel secure and loved.<br/><br/>At just six months old, Braun is still learning about the world and is currently in an important developmental stage where patience and positive experiences matter greatly. He will need a calm, understanding family willing to move at his pace and help him build confidence through kindness, consistency, and encouragement. Watching Braun slowly come out of his shell and discover that the world can be a safe place will be an incredibly rewarding journey.<br/><br/>Braun is also still learning how to interact with other dogs and should never be rushed or forced into social situations. Gentle introductions, positive experiences, and giving him space when he needs it will help him continue growing into a confident companion. He is also new to basic obedience and leash walking, so ongoing reward-based training will be essential to help him succeed.<br/><br/>This sweet boy may need a little extra patience and understanding, but the love he has to offer is truly special.
