Brandy (MR26-308)'s Story

Brandy is a six-year-old, 15-pound Mini Schnauzer with a soft, tender presence and a heart that is just beginning to open. She carries herself with a calm sweetness, the kind that feels like a quiet exhale after a long day.

This lovely girl is timid and shy, and may take a little time to warm up to new people and new environments. She is still learning to trust and takes in the world with cautious curiosity and a gentle spirit. With patience and understanding, Brandy will continue to grow in confidence at her own pace.

She comes out of her shell when playing with other dogs in playgroup and appears to gain comfort and confidence through canine companionship. Because of this, she would do best with another confident canine companion already established in the home to help her feel secure and supported as she adjusts.

Brandy has a naturally calm demeanor and seems perfectly suited for the slower, softer side of life. A cozy couch, a warm blanket, and a peaceful home where she can feel safe would be her dream come true. For someone willing to offer patience and a gentle environment, Brandy will be a quiet, loving presence who brings a soft kind of joy.
------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
