Brandy's Story

Brandy is one of four puppies who came to the shelter together after being found abandoned on open land with little to no human interaction. While two of her siblings have already found loving homes, Brandy and her sister, Chardonnay, are still waiting for their forever families.

Brandy is the most confident and curious puppy of the litter. Although she's still shy, she's often the first to approach people and has started showing an interest in making human friends. Every day she takes another small step forward.

Because Brandy had very little exposure to people before arriving at the shelter, she's still learning that humans can be kind. She'll thrive with a patient, understanding family who will let her build trust at her own pace and celebrate each milestone along the way.

Brandy was born with a congenital eye abnormality that causes one eye to be smaller than the other. Our veterinarian believes she does have vision in that eye, although it may be somewhat limited. It doesn't stop her from enjoying life or keeping up with her siblings.

One thing Brandy is sure about is her love for other dogs! She must be adopted into a home with at least one friendly, confident canine companion who can help show her the ropes and continue building her confidence. A securely fenced yard with a minimum 6-foot fence is also required to keep her safe.

While Brandy is making wonderful progress, she will do best in a calm, quieter home. Her adopters should understand that she may always be a bit reserved, but with patience, love, and the companionship of another dog, she has every opportunity to continue blossoming.

Brandy has been spayed, microchipped, and is current on her Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations.

To schedule an appointment to meet Brandy, please call 928-636-4223, ext. 7.
